Eyelash and brow brush

A fan-shaped eyelash brush is ideal (for editorial looks) for applying colored ink to the tips of your eyelashes. (Prices around 10€)
Blush brush
Blush brushes come in a few variations. A slanted shape makes application easier.
Using the shorter end and the right dose, sweep along the cheekbones.
By tapping the brush a little bit before using, you can remove any powder that has ended up on the brush a little bit too much.

A narrow-shaped contouring brush precisely highlights your cheekbones or sculpts the jawline.
Foundation brush
With the right foundation brush, any type of makeup can be worked into the skin precise and consistent. They are available in different versions. Apply the make-up in circular movements and spread it outwards from the center of the face.

A foundation brush with a flat, rounded shape dispense creamy textures beautifully and it´s also suitable for creating a makeup base with primer, which gives the makeup more hold. However, since even cheap foundation products these days are developed to a very high quality, you often only need primer for festive occasions, fashion and commercial shoots, or festive occassions, if you want your makeup to last as long as possible. Otherwise, you can do makeup often without primers, because they are most of the time silicone-based and close your pores.
Powder brush:
Thanks to the puffy shape, loose powder, mineral make-up, compact powder and bronzer can be applied easily and consistant with a powder brush.
Eyeliner brush:
The short and slanted bristles help you draw a precise line, whether with powder eyeshadow or creamy eyeliner.

A brush with rounded U-shaped bristles made of real hair-synthetic mix is perfect for smokey eyes. This allows you to paint smoky effects on the upper and lower eyelids with eyeshadow in any color or easily blur out eyeliner lines.
All-round eyeshadow brush:
The short, wide end is used to apply eyeshadow on the upper lid or close to the edge of the eyelashes. You can use the longer end to apply a darker tone or blend the whole.

An oval-shaped eyeshadow brush has fine, soft but tightly bound bristles and is an ideal helper for soft color gradients.

Natural hair brush or synthetic? Above all, brushes should be cared for regularly.
The brush should feel good on the skin, but not only. Not every brush is suitable for everything. Natural bristles are more elastic and store powder consistencies better, why they release colors and pigments in the right dose.
Synthetic brushes are ideal for allergy sufferers, more durable and ideal for creamy textures and make-up products.
Makeup brushes should be cleaned every two to three weeks with a mild shampoo.
Special moisturizing care extends the life of the brush.
For quick and in-between cleanings, there are disinfectant quick cleaning sprays or brush cleaners, for example from DM or from Kryolan.
