Harmony and Balance - Being happy is not a matter of luck. Happiness is a decision!

Everyone has an own personal happiness barometer. We can shape our lives to be fulfilling. How our personal strengths, healthy food and good relationships ensure greater well-being. In general, happiness is rarely something that is completely detached from the people around us. Sustainable happiness very often means contributing to the happiness of others.

If you enjoy the little things in life everyday, then you can be a little bit happy anytime and anywhere.

Happiness - can come from many sources. These include fulfilling relationships, meaningful work and finding balance in life. Happiness - for some, however, can also be winning the lottery, the ice cream we treat ourselves to, listening to our favorite music or the life that makes us happy. If we want to try to understand happiness, we have to know that it has very different faces. Science distinguishes between happy coincidences, the short moments of positive emotions in which you feel happy and a fulfilled life.


The more we bring into life in what we are good at and at work, the more comfortable we feel. Successful work or cooperation with colleagues, achieving our goals, doing meaningful work - all of this has a major influence on how we experience our everyday lives.


What often stands in the way of experiencing happiness is a distorted perception. We tend to pay more attention to negative things. Body and psyche/mind form a unit.

One of the most important questions are:

  • What my body needs and

  • How am I feeling right now, how do I perceive the situation, what do I feel?

Fears, worries, sadness - everyone knows these feelings and they are important for processing what we have experienced.

It is crucial to be clear: feelings are always a reaction to an internal or external impulse, e.g. a thought that goes through our head or a message that we read. If we manage to understand our emotions as reactions, we can understand and process them better.

It is good to approach crisis situations with compassion - all feelings are allowed.

It is important to be aware: I am not my emotions, they are just a part of me. This creates distance from the stressful feeling. Stop negative thought spirals, take a deep breath and think about what the next small step could be to deal with the situation.

Be cautious with yourself. It can help, for example, regularly write down things you are grateful for in a so-called gratitude diary; this way you can change your perception towards the positive aspects of your own life. Look for anything that can help you to improve the situation in a positive way. These can also be role models who have experienced and gone through something similar situations like you.


Positive emotions promote health and can strengthen the immune system. Healthy food and enough sleep are also part of this.


Under the influence of positive emotions, we are able to find creative solutions to complex problems, interact with people differently, or develop deep social relationships. People who regularly experience positive feelings are more open to new experiences and thus build up new skills and knowledge.


Experiencing harmonious, balanced relationships and feeling supported in them is one of the greatest sources of happiness. This feeling of security can be found not only in relationships with partners, but also in relationships with siblings, friends and other people who are close to us.


Luck and happiness is a decision! Now it´s up to you to be the designer of your own happiness and the happiness of your life. Seize your happiness and the freedom that comes with it to develop your life and your selflove. This is your own responsibility, which no one can take away from you. Only you can seize this freedom, which can lead to new life and renewed love. Only in that progress we feel alive.


Life and love are gifts. Next to them, freedom is the most precious thing we can enjoy as human beings. But as with all gifts, their value and quality depends on how we receive and handle these gifts.

TIPS THAT CAN CONTRIBUTE TO HAPPINESS:


  • change your perspective - see yourself differently - change your ideals. Change your Words and Mindset! Our own expectations of ourselves are usually far too high, which leads to self-doubt. Name your best features, e.g. "great curves", "I'm beautiful!" or if the salesperson brings a top that's too small, instead of saying "I'm too fat" they'd rather say "Thank you, but the size doesn't match my femininity"

  • Even a short hug releases happiness hormones and can increase well-being.

  • seek good company - a conversation with a good friend can help in stressful situations. Good friends like you the way you are - with your faults! The closeness causes the body to release the hormone oxytocin, which lowers stress levels. Get feel-good compliments from people who love you.

  • Be aware of what you can do: What makes you special? What do you associate with other people? Is it ambition, honesty or humor? This is how you actively strengthen your well-being

  • Do something good for your body. Incorporate positive habits into your everyday life step by step. A short walk during your lunch break, meditation exercises in the morning or evening, cooking your favorite meal, eating some fruits every day or cycling to work - these are just a few examples.

  • Help others: social commitment is a good source of happiness. Helping others gives you strength and takes the focus off yourself. Ask yourself: Who might need my help?

    For example, sponsor a child or look in your immediate environment to see how you can help others.

  • learn from other people or older people - character, life experience or charisma - role models can help you to grow, learn, change attitudes - the more life experience you have, the more independent you become from the opinions of others

  • Find your own style - hobbies, idiosyncrasies or your job - everything that you do with passion makes you special and creates a solid wall against self-doubt. Be unique!
